Co-Teacher

About the role

The Co-Teacher works on‑site at Malvern College Egypt, supporting the class teacher in delivering high‑quality, student‑centred learning for primary and early‑years pupils. This full‑time position involves assisting with lesson delivery, providing individualized and small‑group support, and helping maintain a safe, inclusive classroom environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation, resource organisation and classroom management.
• Support small‑group and one‑to‑one learning activities, adapting approaches to meet diverse student needs.
• Monitor student progress, record observations and communicate updates to the teaching team.
• Contribute to pastoral care, ensuring student welfare, safety and well‑being.
• Supervise students during non‑lesson times, school trips and extracurricular activities.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions and school events.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of primary or early‑years pedagogy.
• Effective lesson planning and classroom support skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, families and support staff.
• Commitment to safeguarding, health and safety policies.
