Co Teacher

About the role

The British School in Cairo is seeking a dedicated Co Teacher to join its multicultural teaching team. This full‑time, on‑site position works closely with lead teachers to enhance classroom instruction and support student learning in a British‑style curriculum.

Key responsibilities

• Assist lead teachers with daily lesson delivery and classroom management.
• Prepare and organise teaching materials, resources and visual aids.
• Work with small groups or individual students to reinforce concepts and provide targeted academic support.
• Contribute to lesson planning and the design of age‑appropriate learning activities.
• Collaborate with colleagues on educational projects, school events and professional development sessions.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in education and teaching, with experience supporting classroom learning.
• Effective communication skills for interaction with staff, students and families.
• Relevant teaching qualification or diploma; a degree in Education or a related field is preferred.
• Experience in an international or bilingual school environment is an advantage.
• Commitment to inclusive, student‑centered practices and safeguarding of children.
• Organisational reliability and ability to work collaboratively within a multicultural team.
