Commis B – Kitchen Assistant (Full‑Time)

About the role

The Commis B supports the culinary team in a fast‑paced hotel kitchen, preparing ingredients, cooking simple dishes and maintaining a clean, safe work environment. This full‑time position is based at the St. Regis hotel on Nile Corniche, Cairo.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, portion, chop, wash, peel and store fresh fruits, vegetables and other ingredients.
• Weigh, measure, mix and cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards.
• Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers safely and efficiently.
• Test and monitor food for proper cooking and quality throughout preparation.
• Set up and break down work stations, serve food in correct portions, and maintain proper receptacles.
• Wash, disinfect kitchen areas, tools, knives and equipment; verify appliance and food temperatures.
• Follow all company safety, security and hygiene policies; report any incidents or maintenance needs.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
• At least one year of experience in a similar food‑preparation or kitchen role.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 25 lb and perform repetitive motions for an entire shift.
