Computerized Flow Dynamics Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Computerized Flow Dynamics (CFD) Engineer to support the design and analysis of building engineering systems through advanced computational fluid dynamics simulations. The role involves performing CFD studies for smoke management, ventilation, thermal comfort, and airflow distribution while collaborating with multidisciplinary design teams.

Key responsibilities

• Perform CFD analysis for smoke management systems in parking facilities and atrium spaces.
• Conduct airflow, thermal comfort, ventilation, and indoor environmental quality simulations.
• Develop CFD design criteria in coordination with HVAC, Mechanical, Fire Protection, and Architectural teams.
• Prepare conceptual studies, technical reports, and engineering calculations.
• Utilize Autodesk Revit and BIM technologies to support project delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of professional CFD and building services experience.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, fire protection, and building services systems.
• Fluency in English and Arabic.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in CFD software such as ANSYS Fluent, PyroSim, FDS, SimScale.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and BIM workflows.
• Understanding of airflow, heat transfer, smoke movement, and ventilation engineering.
• Knowledge of ASHRAE, NFPA, IBC and related international codes.
