About the role
We are looking for a dedicated Cook I to join our kitchen team at the Sheraton Sharm Hotel Resort Villas & Spa. The successful candidate will prepare a variety of meals, maintain high food quality standards, and support the culinary team during busy periods.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare special meals and substitute items according to recipes.
- Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters.
- Thaw frozen foods safely and ensure proper portioning, arrangement, and garnish.
- Maintain food logs and monitor the quality and quantity of prepared dishes.
- Communicate with the Chef about excess items for daily specials.
- Inform service staff of menu specials and out‑of‑stock items.
- Prepare and cook both hot and cold foods following presentation and safety standards.
Required profile
- Technical, trade or vocational school degree in culinary arts or related field.
- At least 3 years of relevant kitchen experience.
- No supervisory experience required.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 25 lb and work in a fast‑paced environment.
