Country Airfreight Team Leader – Egypt

About the role

Join Maersk’s Airfreight team in Egypt as a Country Airfreight Team Leader. You will shape the country‑level airfreight strategy, lead import and export operations, and ensure seamless collaboration with airlines, customs and airport authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement the country‑level Airfreight Operations strategy aligned with global goals.
• Drive, manage and mentor Airfreight Import & Export teams, including Airport Teams, to achieve quality performance and budget targets.
• Partner with Financial Operations, Continuous Improvement and Subject Matter Experts to set Air Product priorities.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, IATA standards and internal procedures.
• Lead transformative airfreight projects and foster a high‑performance service culture across related departments.
• Manage relationships and operational coordination with airlines, Maersk Air, regional gateways, ground handling agents, civil aviation authorities, Egypt Customs and airport authorities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (preferred) with prior airfreight experience and team supervision.
• Deep knowledge of export/import airfreight business and technical logistics concepts.
• Familiarity with CASS processes, IATA regulations and airfreight procedures.
• Experience managing projects in a matrix environment.
• Strong relationship‑building and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency in English and Microsoft Office; willingness to travel.
