Cyber Security Engineer – Protect Critical Infrastructure

About the role

EdgeConn is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to safeguard its IT infrastructure and sensitive data. You will design, implement, and monitor security measures while collaborating with IT teams to ensure resilience against cyber‑attacks.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain security controls for systems, networks and data.
• Conduct regular security assessments, audits, vulnerability scanning and penetration testing.
• Monitor security logs, alerts and respond to incidents, performing forensic analysis when needed.
• Develop and enforce security policies, procedures and best practices aligned with industry standards.
• Provide security training and awareness to staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cyber Security or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3‑5 years of proven experience as a Cyber Security Engineer or similar role.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.

Required skills

• Firewalls, VPN, Data Loss Prevention, IDS/IPS, Web‑Proxy, endpoint protection.
• SIEM platforms, security audits, vulnerability scanning tools and penetration testing methodologies.
• Knowledge of NIST Cybersecurity Framework and ISO/IEC 27001.
• Scripting with Python and PowerShell for automation.
