Cybersecurity Engineer – Use Case Factory (UCF)

About the role

Capgemini is seeking a seasoned Cybersecurity Engineer to join its Use Case Factory (UCF) team. In this role you will design, build, deploy and maintain detection capabilities that protect the organisation’s environment from cyber threats.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detection rules, signatures and playbooks within the UCF.
• Design, test and optimise detection logic and deploy it across SOC infrastructure.
• Analyse and correlate data from multiple sources to identify threats and suspicious activity.
• Validate detection rules against real‑world scenarios and continuously tune them to reduce false positives.
• Collaborate with Threat Intelligence, Threat Hunting and analyst teams to expand detection coverage.
• Document detection logic, processes and operational procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, IT or related field (preferred).
• 6‑10 years of experience in cybersecurity operations, detection engineering or SOC environments.
• Proven experience creating and managing detection rules in SIEM platforms such as Splunk.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills in English.
