Depot Workshop Equipment Installation Engineer

About the role

Siemens Mobility is seeking a Depot Workshop Equipment (DWE) Installation Engineer to join its high‑speed rail project in Egypt. The role involves on‑site installation, commissioning and coordination of DWE machines, ensuring they are positioned, erected and connected according to approved designs.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full installation cycle of DWE machines, including positioning, erection, assembly and connection.
• Prepare and review installation manuals and method statements, ensuring compliance with HSE regulations.
• Interpret approved technical drawings, layouts and schematics to guide on‑site activities.
• Coordinate site access, permits, inductions and readiness checks.
• Lead daily installation activities with suppliers, contractors and subcontractors.
• Work with logistics to transport materials from warehouse to site.
• Update installation schedules and compile progress, cost, defect and delay reports.
• Ensure compliance with project quality standards and collaborate with the Quality Manager.
• Act as the technical point of contact for suppliers and manage installation documentation, including as‑built drawings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or a related engineering discipline.
• Proven experience in installing and commissioning industrial equipment.
• Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and quality management processes.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
