Desktop Support Technician – On‑site IT Support in Cairo

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Desktop Support Technician to provide on‑site IT support at a multinational pharmaceutical client’s facility in Cairo. You will act as the primary point of contact for end‑user technical issues, ensuring the high availability and performance of desktop systems and related services.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and troubleshoot Windows 7‑10 operating systems, Microsoft Office 365 and PC hardware.
• Manage user accounts, devices and policies using Active Directory and Group Policy Objects.
• Support mobile devices (iOS and Android) and enterprise encryption solutions.
• Log, track and resolve help‑desk tickets within agreed service level agreements.
• Provide clear communication and professional customer service to all users.
• Be available for off‑hours or weekend support during projects or emergencies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field.
• CompTIA A+ and MCP (or equivalent) certifications.
• 1–3 years of experience in desktop support or a similar role.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and prioritisation skills.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
