Engineering Director – Pharmaceutical Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking an Engineering Director to lead engineering operations within a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing organization. The role ensures smooth facility performance, compliance with regulatory standards, and continuous improvement of manufacturing and utilities systems.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance, calibration, and equipment reliability programs.
• Ensure compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) and safety standards.
• Manage utilities systems, including HVAC and water treatment.
• Lead engineering projects, upgrades, validation, and qualification activities.
• Control spare‑parts inventory, supplier relationships, and engineering budgets.
• Develop and mentor the engineering team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• 15–20 years of experience in manufacturing environments, preferably in the pharmaceutical sector.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance systems, utilities, and cGMP requirements.
• Proven project‑management and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Fluent command of English.
