English Teacher – Year 7 (British Curriculum)

About the role

The school is seeking a full‑time English Teacher for Year 7, delivering the British curriculum to students in Qesm El Maadi. The successful candidate will create engaging lessons that develop reading, writing, speaking and listening skills while fostering an inclusive classroom environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver Year 7 English lessons aligned with British standards.
• Assess student progress through classwork, homework and formal examinations, providing constructive feedback.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere and manage behaviour effectively.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and school initiatives.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student performance.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions and school events.

Required profile

• Degree in English, Education or a related field.
• Teaching qualification or experience with the British curriculum, preferably at Year 7 level.
• Proven ability to design differentiated lessons that meet diverse learning needs.
• Strong classroom management and student assessment skills.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with students, staff and families.
• Commitment to inclusive, learner‑centred practices and ongoing professional growth.
