Factory Costing & Planning Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a Factory Costing & Planning Accountant to lead cost accounting activities within our manufacturing operation. The role ensures accurate product costing, inventory valuation and supports budgeting and forecasting to drive financial control.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain detailed product cost sheets covering raw materials, labor and overhead.
• Analyse production costs, identify variances against budgets and standards, and recommend improvements.
• Monitor manufacturing expenses and provide cost‑reduction insights.
• Support month‑end closing, including factory costing and inventory valuation.
• Reconcile production consumption, inventory movements and cost of goods manufactured.
• Assist in the preparation of factory budgets, forecasts and financial analyses.
• Collaborate with Production, Supply Chain and Finance teams to ensure proper cost allocation.
• Maintain costing models and ensure data accuracy in ERP/SAP systems.
• Produce periodic cost reports and management dashboards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 3–5 years of cost accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or FMCG.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing costing principles, inventory accounting and variance analysis.
• Proficiency in English (intermediate to advanced); Arabic is a plus.

Required skills

• SAP (ERP) system experience.
• Advanced Excel skills.
