Factory Manager - Chocolate Manufacturing

About the role

Mighty Foods is launching a state‑of‑the‑art chocolate manufacturing facility in Egypt and seeks an experienced Factory Manager to lead the start‑up, ramp‑up and day‑to‑day operations. This hands‑on leadership position requires deep knowledge of chocolate science and strong manufacturing discipline.

Key responsibilities

• Lead commissioning, start‑up and ramp‑up of the new chocolate plant.
• Build a safe, disciplined, performance‑driven factory culture from day one.
• Oversee daily production to meet safety, quality, service, cost and people targets.
• Establish and continuously improve SOPs, process parameters and operating routines.
• Drive performance metrics such as OEE, yield, waste, downtime, productivity and schedule attainment.
• Control chocolate processes including refining, tempering, moulding, depositing, enrobing, cooling and packaging.
• Implement preventive‑maintenance and equipment‑reliability programs to reduce unplanned downtime.
• Recruit, develop and lead supervisors, engineers, technicians and operators.
• Partner with Quality and Food Safety to ensure GMP, HACCP, allergen and hygiene standards and progress toward BRCGS certification.
• Lead root‑cause analysis and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 96 months (8 years) of experience in food or chocolate manufacturing.
• Proven ability to lead large, multidisciplinary teams in a production environment.
• Strong understanding of food safety systems and certification standards (BRCGS, FSSC 22000, HACCP).
• Experience managing start‑up or ramp‑up phases of a manufacturing plant.
