Fast Missile Craft (FMC) Planner/Estimator

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Fast Missile Craft (FMC) Planner/Estimator to support International Fleet Support of FMC Electronics/Combat Systems for the Egyptian Navy. The position is based at the Egyptian Naval Base in Alexandria and involves hands‑on technical design, repair, and specification work for the TACTICOS Combat Management System.

Key responsibilities

• Provide subject‑matter expertise for technical design, repair, and specification writing of TACTICOS and related weapons/sensor systems.
• Verify work specifications, identify required manpower and trade skill sets, and supervise material requisition.
• Source technical references, answer specification queries, and prevent schedule delays.
• Train Egyptian Navy local labor in technical writing and overall skill sets.
• Collaborate with Amentum planning team, shipyard planning office, and Technical Assistance Team to facilitate workload planning.

Required profile

• High School diploma or GED.
• At least 2 years of experience in work‑package planning and estimating for electronic/combat systems on naval vessels.
• U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain country clearance and base pass.
• Active passport valid for at least two years after arrival in Egypt.
• Willingness to travel domestically (CONUS) and internationally (OCONUS).

Required skills

• Technical knowledge of TACTICOS Combat Management System.
• Experience with electronics/combat system specification writing.
• Ability to identify manpower and trade skill requirements.
• Proficiency in English (verbal and written).
