Financial Crime Analyst - Graduate Program (German Speaker)

About the role

PwC is hiring a Transaction Monitoring and Name Screening Analyst for its IFS Finance line of service in Cairo, as part of a graduate program. The role identifies and mitigates financial crime risk through monitoring and analysis and is aimed at fresh graduates.

Key responsibilities

• Run basic due diligence checks on potential customers, including background checks as required by the client
• Respond to requests for information on KYC documents by reviewing due diligence for low, medium and high risk customers
• Manage your own workload and meet daily, monthly productivity and quality targets, asking for guidance, instruction or coaching when needed
• Keep metrics trackers up to date in client and workflow systems
• Collaborate with peers, team leads and managers to improve client and PwC efficiency
• Adapt quickly to new or changing processes and build relationships across the team, including with client teams and their customers

Required profile

• Degree with a 3.0 GPA or above
• Fluent German speaking and writing, minimum B1 qualification
• Attention to detail and an inquisitive, problem-solving approach
• Weekdays Monday to Friday, with weekend rotation and availability on public holidays during busy periods

Desirable: knowledge of regulatory developments, experience following strict processes, experience in financial services compliance operations and risk, experience handling escalations of suspicious activity, and a financial crime qualification.
