Firefighting & Dewatering Technician

About the role

The Firefighting & Dewatering Technician ensures the safe and reliable operation of fire protection and dewatering systems for Cairo Metro Line 3. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, rapid troubleshooting, and emergency response while complying with all health and safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform regular preventive and corrective maintenance on fire suppression systems (FM200, CO2, Foam, sprinklers) and dewatering equipment.
• Inspect, test, and certify fire extinguishers, pumps, valves, and monitoring devices.
• Diagnose faults, replace worn components, and execute emergency repairs.
• Document inspections, maintenance actions, and repairs in the Maximo EAM system.
• Coordinate work orders, supervise contractors, and collaborate with internal operations teams.
• Participate in safety audits and help develop safety protocols for civil assets.
• Assist with field surveys and provide data for engineering studies and new project planning.
• Support general building maintenance within metro depots and stations.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; fire‑fighting or dewatering certification is a plus.
• Fluency in Arabic required.
• Ability to work on-site in a metro environment and respond to emergencies.
