Food Production Engineer – Herbal Tea Powder Extraction

About the role

The Food Production Engineer will be responsible for operating and maintaining equipment used to extract, filter, and dry herbal tea powders, ensuring consistent high‑quality products that meet SOPs and hygiene standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and maintain extraction, filtration, and drying equipment.
• Use the tea bagging machine to produce the final product.
• Prepare mushroom material for extraction, including drying, milling, and weighing.
• Operate ultrasonic extractor and control solvent ratios (ethanol:water).
• Handle filtration systems and vacuum filter pumps.
• Log batch data such as time, temperature, solvent percentage, yield, and TDS.
• Monitor processes for contamination, residue buildup, or deviations.
• Support R&D trials testing new solvent ratios or carriers like maltodextrin or gum arabic.
