General Manager – 5‑Star Heritage Luxury Hotel

About the role

We are looking for an experienced General Manager to lead a prestigious 5‑star heritage luxury hotel in Alexandria. The role involves overseeing all aspects of hotel performance, ensuring the property delivers world‑class guest experiences while achieving financial targets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all hotel operations, including rooms, food & beverage, sales, finance, and human resources.
• Maximise revenue, average daily rate (ADR) and occupancy through effective pricing and distribution strategies.
• Elevate guest experience to meet 5‑star luxury standards.
• Develop and execute strategic business plans and marketing initiatives.
• Expand international market exposure via OTAs, corporate accounts and tour operators.
• Control costs and improve gross operating profit (GOP) performance.
• Build, mentor and manage a high‑performance management team.

Required profile

• 15‑20 years of experience in 5‑star hotel operations.
• Proven track record as a Hotel Manager or General Manager.
• Background in heritage or luxury hospitality is a plus.
• Strong leadership, team‑building and decision‑making abilities.
• Fluent English; additional languages are advantageous.

Required skills

• Revenue management expertise.
• Deep understanding of hotel key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
