General Manager - Mövenpick Sharm Elsheikh

About the role

The Mövenpick hotel in Sharm Elsheikh is looking for a General Manager who will act as an ambassador of the brand and the property. The role calls for strategic leadership, strong interpersonal skills and a commercial vision to drive an engaged team, exceed guest expectations and deliver superior operating results. The hotel belongs to the Accor network, which brings together more than 45 brands, 5,500 hotels and 10,000 restaurants and lifestyle destinations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall strategic direction and manage the property so that all departments meet operational and financial targets
• Develop and execute long- and short-range financial objectives aligned with brand strategy and owner expectations
• Maximise profitability through financial management, cost control and revenue optimisation, and run revenue management strategies to boost occupancy and average daily rates
• Ensure compliance with operating controls, legislation and brand standards, and monitor KPIs and financial metrics
• Lead recruitment, foster an inclusive environment, coach and mentor staff, and build relationships with the local community and key stakeholders
• Maintain premium product and service quality, manage guest relations and complaints, and uphold brand standards
• Oversee safety, security and risk management, manage vendors and suppliers, and lead marketing and brand positioning initiatives

Required profile

• Minimum 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in a hotel brand or similar hospitality business
• Proven track record in P&L management, financial planning and revenue optimisation
• Strong business acumen, relationship-building skills and the ability to inspire and build high-performing teams
• Preferred: hospitality management degree or equivalent certification, marketing and brand positioning experience, knowledge of hotel operations systems and financial management software, and experience in multi-unit or complex properties
