Graduate Training Program – AI Development (Linux)

About the role

Join Valeo's VITE R&I team as a Graduate Training Program trainee focused on AI development for automotive applications. You will work on cutting‑edge machine‑learning solutions, from model design to integration on Linux‑based platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design and prototype machine‑learning models for automotive features.
• Adapt and fine‑tune large language models (e.g., GPT, LLaMA) for specific vehicle domains.
• Develop end‑to‑end pipelines combining Automatic Speech Recognition, LLM inference, and Text‑to‑Speech.
• Benchmark model architectures, optimise parameters and evaluate performance.
• Implement proof‑of‑concept projects and integrate prototypes into applications.
• Write, test and optimise high‑performance C++ code for Linux systems.
• Build and manage projects with CMake or Makefiles, including third‑party libraries.
• Profile, troubleshoot and optimise applications for memory efficiency.
• Document experiments, findings and development processes.
• Collaborate with middleware teams to define and integrate services over automotive Ethernet stacks.

Required profile

• Graduating in 2024‑2025 with a Bachelor’s in Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
• Fluent in English and Arabic; French is a strong plus.
• Solid understanding of supervised and unsupervised machine‑learning algorithms.
• Ability to read and apply concepts from recent academic papers.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
