Group Director - Data Management, Governance & Privacy

About the role

Geidea is seeking a Group Director to lead its Data Management, Governance & Privacy Office. The role will shape the company’s data protection strategy, ensure compliance with national regulations, and embed a strong data‑privacy culture across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive the Group’s data management, governance and privacy strategy in line with NDMO controls and specifications.
• Oversee implementation of the National Data Management and Personal Data Protection Law frameworks, guaranteeing corporate and subsidiary compliance.
• Approve and champion enterprise‑wide data protection policies, guidelines and procedures, and continuously assess data processing activities.
• Present risk exposure and compliance dashboards to senior leadership and the Board.
• Develop a strategic roadmap for data‑compliance training and foster a privacy‑first culture throughout the workforce.
• Lead, mentor and grow a high‑performing team of data‑governance specialists, privacy officers and technical experts.
• Act as the executive liaison with Data Protection Authorities (e.g., SDAIA, SAMA, NDMO) and manage high‑level data risks, breaches and regulatory challenges.

Required profile

• 13+ years of overall experience, including at least 5 years focused on data‑protection compliance or a related field.
• Deep expertise in data‑protection laws and practices, particularly the NDMO framework.
• Background in legal, audit or risk‑management roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Fintech or banking industry experience is mandatory.
