Head of Procurement

About the role

The Head of Procurement will lead all local and international purchasing activities, ensuring a reliable supply of materials and services that align with the company's operational and strategic objectives. This senior position is critical for driving cost efficiency, supplier performance, and procurement excellence across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies that support company goals.
• Lead sourcing initiatives worldwide to secure cost‑effective, high‑quality supplies.
• Analyze market trends to identify new suppliers and alternative materials.
• Negotiate terms, pricing, and service‑level agreements with vendors.
• Oversee the end‑to‑end procurement process from requisition to delivery and invoicing.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and logistics teams to forecast demand accurately.
• Identify and execute cost‑saving opportunities while maintaining quality standards.
• Monitor procurement KPIs such as cost reduction, lead times, and order accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with legal, financial, regulatory, and ethical requirements.
• Evaluate and mitigate supply‑chain risks, including geopolitical and economic factors.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team, providing training and performance evaluations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 10–15 years of progressive procurement experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record managing local and international purchasing in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of sourcing, contracting, negotiation, and vendor management.
• Experience with ERP systems and procurement software.
• Very good command of English; additional languages are a plus.
