Head of Vendor Management

About the role

Ericsson is seeking a Head of Vendor Management to lead its partnerships with Approved Service Providers (ASPs) and subcontractors delivering telecom field services across Egypt. You will own the full vendor lifecycle—from strategy and governance to performance, risk, and cost—ensuring safe, on‑time, high‑quality delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive the vendor and ASP strategy for Egypt, including delivery models, commercial structures, and segmentation.
• Manage day‑to‑day vendor performance across rollout, maintenance, and site services, monitoring productivity, quality, and cost.
• Lead capacity planning, forecast demand, secure trained crews, and resolve bottlenecks.
• Establish formal governance with key vendors, conduct regular performance reviews, and track corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with ethics, anti‑corruption, health and safety, and local regulations.
• Partner with Sourcing on vendor selection, contract negotiations, rate cards, and performance‑based commercial structures.
• Control vendor spend and drive cost optimisation without compromising safety or quality.
• Align internal teams—operations, finance, legal, project management—on vendor plans, risks, and priorities.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of vendor and ASP managers.

Required profile

• 10+ years in telecom network rollout or managed services field operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field; postgraduate qualifications or certifications in project management, sourcing, or operations are a plus.
• Deep recent experience in the Egyptian telecom market, either managing ASPs/subcontractors directly or holding a leadership role within an Egyptian ASP/subcontractor.
• Proven success in vendor performance management, KPIs, audits, governance, and improvement programs.
• Strong track record in commercial and contract negotiations with vendors.
• Fluency in English and Arabic (written and spoken).
