About the role
The Hospital Usher supports daily operations in the medical unit by handling documentation, guiding patients, and assisting the nursing team. This on‑site, full‑time position ensures smooth patient flow and accurate record‑keeping.
Key responsibilities
- Print reports, letters, administrative instructions and other documents.
- Organise medical and administrative files and maintain a complete filing system for the unit.
- Generate patient‑related reports such as histories, doctor consultations and nutrition lists.
- Complete patient discharge procedures, manage related accounts and print discharge reports.
- Stock daily patient necessities and ensure availability of supplies.
- Answer phone calls, take messages and relay information to relevant staff.
- Greet patients upon arrival, guide them to their rooms and respond to their requests.
- Perform additional tasks as directed by the unit manager or nursing supervisor.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in any relevant field.
- 1–3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong communication skills.
