HSE Engineer – Egypt

About the role

The HSE Engineer will supervise and ensure effective implementation of the Project‑specific Quality, Health, Safety, Security and Environmental (QHSSE) Management System across Alcazar Energy’s wind energy projects in the Red Sea region.

Key responsibilities

• Lead QHSSE leadership, risk management and compliance across project teams and contractors.
• Monitor, inspect, audit and report on QHSSE performance of contractors, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
• Conduct incident investigations, root‑cause analysis and drive preventive measures.
• Oversee environmental management, hazardous material handling, waste management and compliance with lender E&S requirements.
• Ensure emergency preparedness, occupational health monitoring and adherence to internal policies and regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Safety, Environmental or related).
• NEBOSH and/or IOSH certification.
• Minimum 8 years of HSE experience, preferably with a developer or technical consultancy on on‑shore wind/solar utility‑scale assets.
• Experience with IFC, EBRD, World Bank HSE guidelines and multinational project environments.
• Previous work in MENA, Northern Africa, Turkey, Eastern Europe or Central Asia is preferred.
