HSE Officer – Construction Site Safety

About the role

The HSE Officer will ensure daily site activities comply with the project HSE plan, permits, and safe systems of work, supporting a safe environment on construction sites in North Coast, Alexandria.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor daily site activities for compliance with HSE plans, permits, and Safe System of Work.
• Deliver toolbox talks on PPE, working at height, manual handling, etc.
• Conduct risk assessments and job safety analyses in coordination with the HSE Supervisor.
• Inspect equipment, tools, and scaffolding; withdraw unsafe items.
• Coordinate safe site arrangement, housekeeping, and waste disposal.
• Support emergency evacuation drills and first‑aid response.
• Provide on‑the‑spot safety advice and respond to HSE inquiries.
• Monitor subcontractor induction, PPE, and permit‑to‑work compliance.
• Record and report incidents, near‑misses, non‑conformances and follow up corrective actions.
• Maintain daily HSE records, inspection checklists, and statistics for reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• OSHA 30‑Hour General Industry and Construction certifications.
• 3–5 years HSE experience on construction sites, preferably buildings, villas or resort developments.
