Industrial Safety Officer

About the role

The Industrial Safety Officer will safeguard the hotel environment by preventing fires, natural disasters, and occupational hazards. You will train staff, coordinate emergency response, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Implement fire prevention measures and train employees on emergency procedures.
• Collaborate with the chief engineer on safety‑related issues.
• Conduct audits of hazardous waste and industrial sites and participate in investigations.
• Deliver safety training programs for new and existing staff, demonstrating proper use of equipment.
• Manage "right‑to‑know" programs for hazardous chemicals and substances.
• Develop and maintain hygiene and safety programs in line with international standards.
• Inspect workplaces, equipment, and practices to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Investigate accidents and health complaints, identifying root causes and preventive actions.
• Maintain emergency response plans, hazardous material inventories, and waste tracking systems.
• Recommend protective measures for workers and oversee suspension of unsafe activities.

Required profile

• Experience in occupational health and safety within a hospitality or industrial setting.
• Knowledge of fire safety, hazardous waste management, and environmental regulations.
• Ability to conduct audits, investigations, and training sessions.
• Strong communication skills to inform and advise management and staff.
