Inpatient Pharmacist

About the role

The inpatient pharmacist role is a full-time, on‑site position based in Giza. The pharmacist will verify and dispense medications, review physicians' orders, and ensure safe and effective medication therapy for inpatients. The role involves close collaboration with the clinical team to optimize patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Verify and dispense medications and review physicians' orders.
• Assess medication profiles and monitor for interactions and contraindications.
• Provide pharmaceutical care consultations to the clinical team and participate in patient counseling.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support evidence‑based treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to regulatory and hospital policies.
• Oversee compounding when required and contribute to quality improvement and medication safety initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in pharmacy and medicine.
• Ability to apply clinical knowledge in an inpatient setting.
• Hospital experience preferred, but fresh graduates are welcome.
