Joinery and Woodwork Estimator

About the role

The Joinery and Woodwork Estimator will work on‑site in Cairo, supporting Global Woodwork’s large‑scale interior projects by preparing accurate cost estimates for all joinery and woodwork packages.

Key responsibilities

• Review architectural, interior design and tender drawings to extract quantities.
• Perform material take‑offs and calculate labour and production costs.
• Coordinate with engineering, production and procurement teams to validate pricing and lead times.
• Prepare detailed quotations, value‑engineering options and cost breakdowns for clients and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain a database of supplier prices and update it regularly.
• Track project costs against estimates, revise budgets and support sales and project‑management teams during negotiations and hand‑over.

Required profile

• Strong estimation and cost‑analysis experience in joinery or woodwork projects.
• Technical knowledge of woodwork manufacturing processes, materials, fittings, finishes and fire‑rated door systems.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, ID and shop drawings with high accuracy.
• Diploma or degree in Engineering, Architecture, Quantity Surveying or related field (preferred).
• Willingness to work on‑site in Cairo and collaborate in a safety‑conscious environment.
• Previous experience in GCC or large‑scale factory settings is an advantage.
