Lab Technician (Academic Year 2026-2027)

About the role

Westview International Language School is seeking a Lab Technician for the 2026‑2027 academic year. The successful candidate will support science education by preparing laboratory spaces, assisting teachers, and ensuring a safe, well‑stocked environment for practical experiments.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain laboratory equipment and materials for practical classes.
• Assist science teachers with demonstrations and experiments.
• Ensure the laboratory complies with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Maintain accurate stock records of supplies and equipment.
• Clean laboratory spaces and dispose of waste according to regulations.
• Report faults or damages to equipment promptly.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• Previous laboratory experience in an educational setting is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and protocols.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities.
• Good communication skills to assist teachers and students.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
