Laundry Manager - Sofitel Cairo Downtown Nile

About the role

A Sofitel Cairo Downtown Nile hotel, part of the Accor group of more than 45 brands, is looking for a full-time Laundry Manager. The role oversees all daily laundry operations and leads the laundry team.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all daily laundry operations (sorting, washing, drying, pressing, folding)
• Implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry facility
• Provide coaching, performance feedback and professional development to staff
• Ensure washers, dryers, ironers and folders function properly, and coordinate preventive maintenance and repairs
• Manage inventory of linens, uniforms, chemicals and supplies
• Inspect finished laundry for cleanliness and presentation, and ensure quality standards and customer expectations are met
• Enforce health and safety regulations and train staff on safe chemical handling and equipment use
• Address customer inquiries and resolve complaints

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in business administration or equivalent
• 5 years of experience in laundry management in a luxury setting
• Leadership and team management skills
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus
• Prior experience with Opera or a related system is an asset
