Lead Digital Forensics Examiner

About the role

We are seeking a Lead Digital Forensics Examiner to direct the acquisition, preservation, analysis, and presentation of digital evidence across computers, mobile devices, networks, and cloud environments. The role supports criminal investigations, civil litigation, and cybersecurity incidents, ensuring forensic integrity and providing expert testimony when required.

Key responsibilities

• Securely seize, image, and preserve digital evidence from computers, smartphones, IoT devices, and network logs.
• Perform forensic analysis including file recovery, examination of hard drives, RAM, mobile devices, and cloud data.
• Conduct data carving, file‑system analysis (NTFS, FAT, APFS, EXT4) and memory forensics using tools such as Volatility.
• Execute network forensics and malware reverse engineering using Wireshark and log analysis.
• Prepare detailed forensic reports for law enforcement and corporate stakeholders.
• Serve as an expert witness in court proceedings, presenting findings clearly and accurately.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Digital Forensics or a related field.
• 8‑10 years of experience in digital forensics and/or cybersecurity investigations.
• Relevant certifications are a plus (CFCE, GCFA, EnCE, CISSP).

Required skills

• Forensic tools: FTK, Autopsy, X‑Ways, Cellebrite UFED, EnCase, Volatility.
• File‑system knowledge: NTFS, FAT, APFS, EXT4 and data‑carving techniques.
• Network forensics: Wireshark, log analysis.
• Malware reverse engineering.
• OSINT tools for investigations.
