Lead Test Automation Engineer

About the role

A large multinational organisation is hiring a Lead Test Automation Engineer in Egypt through a recruiter, to build its enterprise quality engineering capability. The role sits in a dedicated test automation function and covers large SAP and eCommerce programmes. It suits a senior automation specialist who wants to set the standard across teams.

Key responsibilities

• Define and embed the automation strategy across multiple teams.
• Architect scalable, enterprise-grade frameworks and enforce best practice.
• Set automation standards and the KPIs that measure quality.
• Lead automation on enterprise SAP and eCommerce programmes.
• Coach and develop mid-level and junior engineers.
• Introduce AI-based approaches to test automation.
• Anticipate bottlenecks and resolve them before they slow delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 7+ years in test automation, with proven leadership of others.
• Experience on international, multi-vendor programmes.
• Excellent mentoring, stakeholder management and executive communication skills.

Required skills

• Advanced hands-on expertise with Playwright, Appium and UFT.
• Strong performance and load testing background (JMeter, LoadRunner).
• Working knowledge of AI-driven automation.

What we offer

• Monthly gross salary of EGP 114,500 to 125,000, plus a 15% annual bonus and 13th and 14th month salary.
