Learning & Development Manager

About the role

The Learning & Development Manager will drive business‑focused training initiatives for Mashreq Egypt, enhancing employee knowledge, technical competencies, and overall performance. This role oversees orientation programs, training needs analysis, and the delivery of tailored learning solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide business‑driven learning and development inputs to strengthen employee knowledge and technical skills.
• Organise, coordinate and conduct structured orientation programs for new hires, covering bank policies, organisational structure, products and services.
• Identify and analyse training needs across banking and finance functions and assist in designing suitable programmes.
• Liaise with guest speakers, line managers and authorised external training institutions to arrange need‑based training.
• Prepare training materials and manuals, continuously improving training methods for effective information dissemination.
• Stay updated on banking developments and reading material to maintain a current knowledge base.
• Develop and coordinate the quarterly training calendar.
• Ensure each staff member has a Personal Development Plan (PDP) and monitor completion of agreed training activities.
• Prepare monthly Learning & Development reports.

Required profile

• Proven experience in learning and development, preferably within the banking or financial sector.
• Demonstrated ability to design, deliver and evaluate training programmes.
• Strong organisational skills to manage orientation sessions and quarterly training calendars.
• Effective communication and liaison skills with internal stakeholders and external training providers.
• Commitment to staying current with industry developments and best practices.
