Learning Support Assistant (Co-Teacher)

About the role

Egypt Education Platform is recruiting a Learning Support Assistant (Co-Teacher) for GEMS The British School Al Rehab in New Cairo. The role suits a passionate educator who wants to help create a supportive and inclusive learning environment, supporting students with diverse needs alongside a lead teacher. The workplace is on site.

Key responsibilities

• Support the class teacher during lessons and learning activities
• Assist in planning, preparing and organizing classroom resources
• Support students individually or in small groups as directed
• Help maintain positive behaviour and classroom management
• Supervise students during class time, breaks and school activities when required
• Contribute to a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree; Education or a related field is preferred
• Fluency in English
• Previous experience in a school or educational setting is an advantage
• Patient, supportive and enthusiastic about working with children
