Librarian

About the role

Westview International Language School is looking for an experienced and dynamic Librarian to lead and oversee the academic vision, standards and performance of the school. The position is based on site in 6th of October City.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and organise the school library and keep accurate records of books and resources
• Support students and staff in finding and choosing suitable books and learning resources
• Ensure books are properly catalogued, shelved and maintained
• Monitor borrowing and returns and keep library records
• Promote reading and encourage positive reading habits among students
• Maintain a welcoming, safe and well-organised library environment
• Support teachers with library resources and research materials
• Organise reading activities, library events and student engagement initiatives
• Monitor inventory and coordinate requests for new books and resources
• Ensure library policies and procedures are followed

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in English, Education or a relevant field
• Teaching certification
• Experience teaching English to elementary-level students is a plus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to foster a nurturing and effective learning atmosphere
• Good organisational skills and adaptability
