Linux System Administrator (Hosting Infrastructure)

About the role

We are looking for a Linux System Administrator to manage and optimise our hosting infrastructure. The role involves ensuring high‑availability of web, database and mail services for a diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain Linux servers (RHEL, AlmaLinux, Rocky Linux, Ubuntu).
• Manage hosting control panels such as WHM/cPanel, HestiaCP, CyberPanel and CWP.
• Configure and maintain web servers (Apache, Nginx, LiteSpeed, OpenLiteSpeed) and PHP environments.
• Administer MySQL/MariaDB databases, including backup, restoration and optimisation.
• Set up and troubleshoot DNS zones, email services, SSL certificates and security features.
• Perform website, server and account migrations and monitor performance, resource utilisation and security.
• Execute backup, restoration and disaster‑recovery procedures.
• Provide first‑line support via WHMCS ticketing system and resolve Linux, networking, web‑server, database and email issues.
• Automate routine tasks with Bash scripting.

Required profile

• Strong Linux administration experience on RHEL‑based and Ubuntu distributions.
• Good understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, SSH and FTP protocols.
• Hands‑on experience with Apache or Nginx web servers.
• Proven MySQL/MariaDB administration skills.
• Familiarity with hosting control panels and virtualization platforms (Proxmox VE preferred).
• Experience with Linux mail services (Exim, Postfix, Dovecot) and email troubleshooting.
• Ability to write and maintain Bash scripts for automation.
• Fluent English communication skills.
