Localization Vendor Manager (Hybrid)

About the role

The Localization Vendor Manager is responsible for delivering linguistic resources on time, within budget, and according to project scope. This hybrid position ensures stable vendor support across multiple projects by maintaining a comprehensive vendor database and continuously sourcing new talent.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, screen, select, and develop external linguistic resources aligned with specialization, vertical, and budget constraints.
• Analyze data to assess the linguistic pool and guarantee sufficient capacity for client needs.
• Expand and maintain multilingual vendor databases, adding new specialized vendors as required.
• Define resource requirements, design test procedures, and evaluate test translations and work samples.
• Support internal departments by providing requested data and assist with tender and quotation resource needs.
• Negotiate terms and conditions for purchased services and monitor freelancer quotas.
• Maintain up‑to‑date vendor documentation, contracts, and capacity sheets.
• Act as the escalation point for vendors, fostering partnerships that emphasize utilization, cost control, quality, and commitment.
• Stay informed on industry trends, benchmark practices, and liaise with professional organizations and universities.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of vendor management experience in the localization field.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication; additional language is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and urgency orientation.
• Proven negotiation and persuasion abilities.
• Effective interpersonal and time‑management skills.
