Maintenance Technician III – Electrical & Utilities

About the role

H.B. Fuller is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician III to support its utilities and production facilities. The role focuses on electrical maintenance, PLC/DCS control systems, and the reliability of site‑wide power and process equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and calibrate industrial electrical equipment, including PLC and DCS control systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on utilities such as steam and oil boilers, absorption chillers, generators, air compressors, nitrogen systems, water‑treatment units, dust collectors, and HVAC equipment.
• Execute daily, weekly, and monthly preventive maintenance tasks and troubleshoot equipment failures.
• Install, replace, and maintain basic facility electrical devices, light fixtures, ballasts, and various door mechanisms.
• Coordinate with HVAC vendors for major repairs or new installations.
• Drive 5S initiatives within the utilities department and monitor facility conditions, recommending repairs to roofs, ceilings, and walls.
• Operate forklifts, high lifts, scaffolding, and ladders safely while adhering to all safety practices.

Required profile

• 5–7 years of experience in industrial electrical or utilities maintenance, preferably in a multinational environment.
• Technical institute or diploma in an industrial discipline.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

Required skills

• PLC and DCS control system troubleshooting.
• Electrical maintenance of boilers, chillers, compressors, generators, and HVAC systems.
• Water‑treatment and dust‑collector operation.
• Basic facility electrical work (light fixtures, ballasts, door mechanisms).
• 5S methodology implementation.
• Forklift and high‑lift operation.
• Proficiency with Windows‑based PC applications.
