Managing Director – Head of Family Office

About the role

The Managing Director – Head of Family Office provides overall strategic direction, leadership and operational management for a global family office. Reporting to the Board, the role ensures financial targets, growth objectives and the organisation’s values are achieved across all markets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the global strategy in line with the Board’s vision, identifying growth opportunities in existing and emerging markets.
• Represent the firm to investors, regulators, partners and the public, maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
• Oversee asset allocation and investment strategy for a diversified portfolio of liquid and private market assets, including direct private‑equity investments in manufacturing‑focused businesses.
• Partner with portfolio company boards to drive operational improvements, growth initiatives and value‑creation strategies.
• Lead day‑to‑day operations across regions, ensuring efficiency, scalability and compliance with global standards.
• Drive financial performance, budgeting, forecasting and capital allocation while maintaining robust controls and risk management.
• Build and lead a high‑performing executive team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, diversity, equity and inclusion.

• Extensive experience in investment oversight, private‑equity, and portfolio management.
