Material Controller

About the role

We are looking for a Material Controller to manage and control the flow, storage, and issuance of materials at our site or warehouse. The role ensures accurate inventory tracking, timely availability, and coordination with procurement, site teams, and suppliers to keep projects on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and control inbound and outbound material flow against project requests.
• Maintain real‑time inventory records in SAP, ensuring data accuracy.
• Coordinate with procurement and warehouse teams to schedule deliveries and storage.
• Inspect received goods for quantity and quality, reporting any damages or shortages.
• Track stock levels, consumption rates and trigger replenishment when needed.
• Issue materials to site teams through approved SAP requisitions.
• Maintain safe, organized, and accessible storage areas.
• Prepare usage logs, aging analyses and regular stock reports.
• Conduct cycle counts and physical audits, reconciling variances.
• Liaise with QA/QC, engineers and vendors on quality issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of material control or warehouse experience, preferably in construction.

Required skills

• Expertise in inventory control, storage and handling.
• Proficiency with MS Excel.
• Strong knowledge of SAP/ERP systems.
• Familiarity with civil, mechanical and electrical materials.
