Material Planner

About the role

Kraft Heinz is looking for a Material Planner at its 6 October factory, reporting to the Supply Planning Manager. The role ensures that strategic material planning processes are in place so that production can run continuously, and coordinates internally and externally to make sure materials are available to meet production needs.

Key responsibilities

• Set departmental objectives and KPIs, and supervise and coach a team of material planners
• Keep material schedules accurate so the right materials arrive on site at the right time
• Run material scheduling so supply meets production needs with minimum stock and optimized costs
• Own material planning issues such as over- or under-delivery and follow up on shortages affecting production
• Manage inventory risk, contingency plans, obsolete parts and inventory movements, and keep MRP systems and data accurate
• Flow up materials with the warehouse and purchasing teams and issue PR cycles for packaging, chemicals, additives and oils on Oracle
• Contribute to continuous improvement, lean practices and supply chain best practice
• Prepare reports, track targets and report on achievements
• Monitor health, safety and environmental compliance

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree preferred (engineering, accounting, business administration or supply chain)
• 5 years of relevant experience in FMCG/multinational environments
• Proven people management skills
• Experience in material planning, ideally in automotive or manufacturing
• Ability to handle supplier relationships and cross-functional work

Required skills

• Advanced Excel
• Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems or similar
• Lean techniques (an advantage)
• Supply chain certification such as CPIM or CSCM is an advantage
