MEA Sourcing Manager - Raw Materials

About the role

Mars is looking for a Sourcing Manager for the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region, based in Cairo. The role acts as the strategic commercial link between global category strategies and regional business needs, and is directly accountable for end-to-end sourcing of raw materials across Dairy, Cereals, Fats & Oils and Sugar, supporting six manufacturing sites. It balances quality, service, cost and supply chain resilience while mitigating geopolitical and supply risks.

Key responsibilities

• Execute the sourcing strategy: use market and spend intelligence, lead strategic sourcing events, evaluate supplier proposals and prepare business award recommendations.
• Negotiate with suppliers and manage end-to-end legal contracting, working with the cost modeling team on negotiation strategies.
• Maintain operational contracts (for example in SAP) for accurate pricing and manage supplier relationships according to segmentation.

Required profile

• College degree with 6-8 years of procurement experience in the multinational food and beverage industry.
• Good understanding of regional agriculture and commodity markets.
• Ability to analyze complex market data and turn it into actionable insights.
• Appreciation of diversity across cultures, languages and time zones in the region.

Required skills

• Expertise in negotiations and contract management.
• Experience running large RFPs.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively through ambiguity.
