Mechanical Design Engineer

About the role

BeFound is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join its multidisciplinary design studio. The role focuses on developing and maintaining building services models, producing accurate documentation, and supporting project delivery from concept through construction.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting models using Autodesk Revit.
• Prepare mechanical drawings, schedules, and documentation extracted from BIM models.
• Perform cooling and heating load calculations with HAP (Hourly Analysis Program).
• Assist in HVAC system sizing, equipment selection, and ensure model compliance with project requirements.
• Create and modify Revit families as needed for specific project tasks.
• Extract quantities and support material take‑offs from BIM models.
• Coordinate with design teams to incorporate design changes and updates.
• Support project delivery during design and construction phases and maintain organized project files.
• Contribute to improving BIM workflows and modeling efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical design engineering.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and time‑management abilities.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
