Mechanical Engineer – AI Training Contractor

About the role

This remote, hourly contractor position involves reviewing AI‑generated engineering solutions and creating high‑quality Mechanical Engineering content. You will help improve the reasoning and accuracy of leading AI models by providing clear feedback, fact‑checking assumptions, and writing model solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed prompts and responses to train AI models on mechanical engineering topics.
• Evaluate and rank AI‑generated answers for correctness, clarity, and methodological soundness.
• Identify and document conceptual or calculation errors, unit inconsistencies, and unrealistic assumptions.
• Write concise explanations and model solutions that illustrate proper engineering reasoning.
• Test AI outputs for potential biases or inaccuracies to ensure reliable performance across use cases.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Engineering Physics.
• Strong fundamentals in mechanics, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, applied physics, and engineering mathematics.
• Ability to assess technical solutions for dimensional consistency, physical plausibility, and design trade‑offs.
• Excellent written English (minimum C1) and attention to detail.
• Self‑directed, reliable, and comfortable working across time zones in an hourly remote workflow.
