Medical Claims Coordinator

About the role

The Medical Claims Coordinator supports the EKN2 project by auditing and verifying medical records and financial claims from healthcare providers, ensuring compliance with Save the Children International (SCI) guidelines and timely processing.

Key responsibilities

• Validate and proofread medical information and claims for completeness and accuracy.
• Communicate with healthcare providers and SCI coordinators to clarify documentation.
• Review medical records, billing documents, and patient histories to determine coverage and payment amounts.
• Ensure bills align with contract price lists and SCI finance and procurement policies.
• Enter and manage claim data, prepare regular reports, and draft related correspondence.
• Uphold SCI’s Child Safeguarding Policy and contribute to MEAL case reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in medicine.
• 1–3 years experience reviewing and auditing medical claims in a humanitarian NGO, preferably health sector.
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills.
• Fluency in English and Arabic (spoken and written).
• Commitment to Save the Children’s values and principles.
