MEP Design Engineer

About the role

Americana Restaurants is seeking an MEP Design Engineer to develop mechanical, electrical and plumbing designs for restaurant and office fit‑out projects across the MENA region. The role involves creating detailed designs, cost estimates and bill of quantities while ensuring compliance with UAE regulations and international codes.

Key responsibilities

• Produce MEP designs and BOQs according to the design team’s specifications.
• Generate high‑level and detailed cost estimates and perform quantity take‑offs.
• Conduct site visits, prepare reports and perform on‑site MEP inspections.
• Propose value‑engineering solutions to reduce CAPEX.
• Review material submittals and shop drawings for compliance.
• Ensure all designs follow Americana MEP guidelines and industry standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Electrical preferred).
• 3–5 years of experience as an MEP Design Engineer, preferably in retail/hospitality or F&B projects.
• Fluent in Arabic and English.

Required skills

• AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit.
• HAP, Duct sizer and Pipe sizer software.
• Budgeting, BOQs, quantity take‑offs and tender documentation.
• Value engineering and cost management.
