MEP Design Engineer – Restaurant & Office Fit‑Outs

About the role

Americana Restaurants, a leading operator of international restaurant brands in the MENA region, is seeking an MEP Design Engineer to develop mechanical, electrical and plumbing designs for fit‑out projects across its portfolio of restaurants and office spaces. The role will ensure designs comply with UAE regulations and international codes while supporting cost‑effective delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Produce MEP designs and BOQs according to the design team’s requirements.
• Generate high‑level and detailed cost estimates.
• Conduct site visits prior to design and prepare detailed reports.
• Propose value‑engineering options to facilitate cost reduction.
• Review material submittals for compliance with specifications.
• Perform detailed reviews of shop drawings.
• Carry out on‑site MEP inspections and compile comprehensive reports.
• Ensure all designs adhere to Americana MEP guidelines and industry standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Electrical preferred).
• 3‑5 years of experience as an MEP Design Engineer, preferably in retail/hospitality or F&B projects.
• Ability to independently prepare both mechanical and electrical design packages.
• Fluent in Arabic and English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AutoCAD.
• Experience using Autodesk Revit.
• Knowledge of HAP software.
• Ability to size ducts and pipes using Duct sizer and Pipe sizer tools.
