Merchant Acquisition Team Lead

About the role

Paymob is seeking a high‑performing Merchant Acquisition Team Lead to accelerate the growth of its merchant portfolio across the MENA region. You will lead a team of sales professionals, develop acquisition strategies, and ensure the achievement of ambitious growth targets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and motivate a team of Merchant Acquisition Executives to meet daily, weekly and monthly KPIs.
• Design and execute acquisition strategies focused on high‑volume and strategic merchants.
• Conduct field visits, support negotiations and build relationships with key decision‑makers.
• Identify new market segments and business opportunities to expand merchant coverage.
• Analyze sales performance data, prepare reports and drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Operations, Marketing, Product and Customer Success teams.
• Maintain accurate pipeline management and CRM updates.
• Recruit, onboard and develop top sales talent.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce or related field.
• 3–5+ years of experience in sales, business development, merchant acquisition or account management.
• 1–2 years of experience leading a sales team.
• Proven track record of exceeding sales targets in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong negotiation, communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Data‑driven mindset with ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
